“THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW”

You are invited to join us for a fall and winter Bible Study on the Gospel of Matthew which will be held on Wednesday evenings at SS. Peter and Paul Church in blocks of three to five weeks with breaks in between. The first five weeks will begin on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:00 PM and continue through November 15th. We will then take a break from Thanksgiving through Christmas, and resume the study in January. The cost of the workbook for the study is $29.00. All sessions will include a DVD lecture by a nationally renowned catholic Biblical scholar. Even if you cannot be present for every session, the workbook is self-guided so you can keep up.

Please fill in the form below and mail it with your check payable to Holy Apostles Parish at 508 Cherry St., Jamestown, NY 14701.

I WILL ATTEND THE BIBLE STUDY

HEALTH UPDATE

You will notice that my name is once again included among those for whom our prayers are requested. This is because on my most recent visit to the Cleveland Clinic, it was ascertained that there has been some deterioration in the diffusion rate of oxygen into the blood due to the lung disease with which I was diagnosed last year. There is no cause for alarm, but it bears watching to be sure that this is not a trend requiring further attention. Fortunately I still have no restrictions and no prescribed medications. I would therefore ask for your prayers which of course are the best medicine. Thank you.

Father Dennis

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL NEWS

Due to the lack of members, we have not been able to collect donations after all the Masses at Holy Apostles Parish, particularly at the 4:00 PM Mass at St. John Church. If someone would like to assist us in collecting donations after that Mass, please contact Jim Gallagher at 488-9810 for further information. It would only take about 10 minutes of your time following Mass. If you can help us, it would be deeply appreciated so that we can continue to help those in need in our Parish and community.
